THE Coonawarra wine region is set for a good vintage this year thanks to excellent weather conditions for grape growing.
Coonawarra Grapegrowers Association president Dan Newson said the drier conditions in the region this year had grapegrowers hopeful of a good vintage.
“The vintage is looking good, thankfully the weather has held up for us with it being drier than normal,” he said.
“Crop loads around the region are looking about average, so fingers crossed it all holds up and we’ll have a good year.”
The good weather has vineyard managers quite pleased at the prospect of a healthy vintage.
