THERE was a great turn out in Millicent on November 27 for the Regional Little Athletics annual carnival.
25 of the athletes from the Naracoorte and District Little Athletics Centre competed against others from Bordertown, Millicent, Penola and Mount Gambier.
For some, it was their first carnival, but their nerves held out to realise what a fun day it can be.
Competitors were meeting other children with the same keen interest in little athletics.
The Naracoorte and District Little Athletics competitors were very fortunate to come home with 6 individual trophies (Will McKay under 8 boys, Will Gould and Ciaran Shouksmith under 11 boys, Anthony McCarthy under 12 boys, Tom McKay under 13 boys, and Isobel Gilkes under 15 girls) and the two centre trophies to put in the cabinet.
Congratulations to all who competed on the day and a huge thank you to all the parents and supporters who took the time to take these budding athletes to Millicent.
