NARACOORTE RSL and District Bowling Club's ladies championship pairs were played on January 21.
In the first round C. Healy and L. Brodie defeated L. Prentice and J. Hurn by 10 shots and J. Kenton and L. Mark defeated D. Barnes and J. Healy by 1 shot.
The final started off well for Cathy and Lyn with a 10 to one lead at the fifth end but on the tenth end scores were tied.
With an exciting finish, June and Lindy managed to get a three on the last end to run out winners by one shot.
The men's championship triples were played on Saturday.
The first round results were: D. O'Shaughnessy defeated P. Haines, S. Pudney defeated G. Hurn and W. Prentice defeated S. Mark.
Second round: S. Pudney defeated C. Castine and W. Prentice defeated D. O'Shaughnessy.
S. Pudney, G. East and J. East played a marathon game against W. Prentice, P. Douthie and B. Brodie in the final, with six dead ends played.
Prentice led until the 8th end, then Pudney took the lead and was ahead 17 shots to eight on the 13th end.
Prentice started to peg back and got a five on the last end to win by two shots.
