THE top four teams will do battle in the semi-finals of Naracoorte cricket this weekend.
Last Saturday, Townies sealed top spot with a comfortable win over fourth-ranked Demons, who were missing several key players.
Lucindale still managed to finish third despite losing for the third time this year to the much-improved Borders/Apsley combination.
Second-placed Kybybolite had an easy win over Devils, who finished off their debut season with another spirited performance.
At WORTLEY OVAL, Demons batted first with a rejigged batting order and struggled against some good bowling.
Anthony Munro (36) batted well, but once he was dismissed the young Demons fell apart, losing their last nine wickets for just 21 runs to be all out for 89.
Townies lost an early wicket in the run chase, but Paul Schroder (34no), Brad Redding (31) and Brodie Foster (22no) saw them home comfortably at 3/104 off just 19 overs.
Michael Cappelluti was the pick of the bowlers with all three wickets.
At FRANCES, Lucindale batted first against Borders/Apsley and started soundly despite losing an early wicket.
At 2/80, with Matt Emmerson (21) and Peter Morton (38) at the wicket, Lucindale was well placed to set a competitive score despite the run rate lagging.
But both batsmen were dismissed in quick time, and it was left to Brad Maloney with a dour 35 not out to guide the Roos to a below-par 4/141 from their 40 overs.
The Borders bowlers were excellent, with none going for more than four an over and young Clint Rokebrand and veteran Nick Thring sharing five wickets.
Borders were in early trouble at 2/9, but a series of batsmen then stood up, with Sam Oliver leading the way with 52.
A number of other players made a start and Nick Thring finished the job off with a hard-hitting unbeaten 39 to see Borders to the victory target in the 34th over.
At KYBYBOLITE, the home side won the toss against Devils and got into stride quickly despite losing opener Phil Werchiwski (3) early.
Michael Pannell smashed the ball all over the park with an excellent 142, receiving support from Brad Davies (21) and Stuart Shepherd (22). At 3/140 after 20 overs, Kyby was set for a massive score, but the Devils pulled it back well with some good bowling and the Tigers finished with 239 all out.
Steve Anderson 2/51 bowled well early, while Dave Roscow 3/59, Danny Schapel 1/43 and Ray Billing 3/14 all did well later in the innings.
Devils struggled against the pace of Shepherd early in their innings, losing three quick wickets, but then they dug in and with Jamie Dyer (36), Anderson (20) and Roscow (24) all contributing, they managed to bat out 35 overs and reach a pleasing 115.
Davies cleaned up the lower order with 5/11 to go with Shepherd's three wickets.
In this Saturday's knockout semi-finals, Townies will play Demons at Wortley Oval and Kybybolite will host Lucindale. Both games are 40-over contests starting at 12.30pm, with the winners going through to the grand final.
Ladder - Townies 51 points, 5.61 run rate; Kybybolite 51, 5.08; Lucindale 45, 4.49; Demons 39, 4.04; Borders/Apsley 30, 2.92; Devils 6, 3.21.
