PERFECT weather conditions greeted drivers and riders who took in the sights of the Upper SE during Welly's Poker Run on Saturday.
The annual event - which gets bigger every year - raises funds for the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
"We had a premature baby, he's eight years old now, and we needed to use the Royal Flying Doctor with him," organiser Mark "Welly" Wellington said.
Funds are still being tallied, but with registrations on par with last year, Welly is again hoping to reach the $10,000 mark.
Saturday's run started in Naracoorte and went on to Frances. The large group stopped in Bordertown for lunch, which was cooked by the local RFDS branch. Then it was on to Padthaway, and back to the Naracoorte Showgrounds for dinner and entertainment.
The event started with a small group of mates. Now in its seventh year, it attracted 115 bikes and 60 cars from across SA and western Victoria.
Welly said the fundraiser wouldn't be possible without the support of local sponsors.
It will go ahead again next year.
