PEACEFULL the Clown spread the message of peace to locals in Naracoorte last week.
She stopped off at schools, aged care facilities and other organisations in the region to entertain and showcase her juggling, joke-telling and dancing skills.
Bringing a smile to the faces of everyone she met, she said peace could only occur through education.
"Peace and harmony will naturally lead us to sustainability. Solutions become visible when you are positive. When we change, our world changes."
Behind the character of Peacefull is Susan Carew - a former economist and market analyst.
After waking in the middle of the night from a dream where she was teaching peace she decided to take up clowning as a career.
With an education in Peace Studies she has done whatever it takes to learn about peace within herself to then be able to see it in the world around her.
Through the "universal language of clowning" she's already spread the message in 20 different countries.
Susan also teaches the anti-bullying program "Real Hopes" to primary school aged children.
With a focus on values, it is the first of its kind designed from a framework of values and experiential activities embodying peaceful behaviours, skills in non-violence and positive values.
The archetype of the clown is a role model for peaceful behaviour that is fun and inclusive of others.
