GREEN ran away victorious for the first time in 15 years at Naracoorte High School's sports day last Thursday.
Students in Stuart accumulated 972 points to give them first place - something they hadn't managed to do since 1998.
Tudor came in a close second with 951 points, followed by Windsor with 931 and Ruthven with 848.
Physical Education coordinator Damien Hutchinson said it was a very successful day.
"We had the largest number of students involved there has been in a while and all students seemed to be competing at their best all day."
He added the heat didn't seem to dampen anyone's spirits with everyone trying their hardest.
Three records were broken: Emily Hunter in the under 16 girls shot put with 9.33m and Joe Fitzgerald in the open boys discus with 29.67m and the open boys shot put with 11.17m.
The 1500m and overall individual winners in the open category were Year 12 students Annie Busiko and Jordan Borg.
In the other age groups, under 14 winners were Dan Fraser and Annie Hunter, under 15 Lachie Busiko and Brooke Rayner and under 16 Emily Hunter and Bill Munn.
