Angus takes a swim

NARACOORTE Herald journalist Angus Dearlove jumped on the dunking machine at the SE Field Days.

Raising money for the Naracoorte Hospital's CT scan appeal through Rotary, he showed he was a team player - happy to get wet even though his turn fell on the Saturday, the cooler of the two days.

A large crowd gathered and after numerous attempts to get him in the drink Angus was finally dunked, much to the delight of the audience.

"It wasn't so bad at first when I was up there because I was dry," he said.

"But after the first guy got on target and put me in the wind got heaps chilly when I sat back up on the platform."

Rotarian David Attwood said Angus' stint on the machine garnered the most interest from the public with local council directors, councillors and Angus's footy teammates all digging into their pockets to have a crack at dunking him.
