Papa's Rich Noodles is set to open in the former Red Rooster building in Naracoorte.
THE rumour mill can now stop - it has been confirmed that the new tenant of the former Red Rooster building in Naracoorte's main street is Papa's Rich Noodles.
The business, which specialises in takeaway noodle dishes, will officially open next Thursday.
Owner Kelvin Soo said he was excited about the new venture."I saw the opportunity," he said. "I always drive past and see the empty building so I thought why not to bring it here?"
Mr Soo told the Herald he did not see it as direct competition to the existing two Thai and one Chinese restaurants already in Naracoorte.
"It is a totally different thing so I don't think it will affect them," he said. "It will be mainly noodles."
Papa's Rich Noodles already has a store on Helen St in Mount Gambier as well as another two in Victoria. Mr Soo owns several other Thai and Chinese restaurants in Victoria and New South Wales.
Red Rooster closed its doors in Naracoorte just over 12 months ago and the building has been vacant since.
