LIBERAL Party candidate Tony Pasin will be hoping the ballot draw for the election is not a bad omen.
Mr Pasin was drawn last for the September 7 election in the ballot at the Australian Electoral Commission office in Mount Gambier last Thursday.
The Greens drew the first spot, followed for Family First, Palmer United, The SA National Party, Labor, independent candidate Richard Sage and Mr Pasin.
Mr Pasin was confident his ballot position wouldn't disadvantage him.
"Candidates usually want the top spot of course, but a lot of people have said the last spot is better than being lost somewhere in the middle of the ballot paper," Mr Pasin said.
The other candidates for Barker are: Greens - Mark Keough, Family First - Kristin Lambert, Palmer United - Balwinder Singh Jhandi, Nationals - Miles Hannemann, Labor - Phil Golding, independent - Richard Sage.
