PENOLA ruckman Dylan Coxon has won the KNTFL Virgo/Mail Medal for senior best and fairest player.
The Herald ran live online coverage of the count, which finished with an exciting climax as Coxon polled 24 votes to edge out three other players who tied for runner-up, four votes behind.
They were Kybybolite on-baller Bill Laurie, Keith midfielder Jon Wilson and Lucindale ruckman Mark Snowball.
Coxon crossed from Robe this season and enjoyed an excellent season feeding the resurgent Penola side's plethora of quality on-ballers.
Kaniva/Leeor United utility James Turner won the A grade footballer of the year award with an outstanding 92 votes, from runner-up Laurie with 86 votes.
Kybybolite veteran Lee Curnow won the Johnson Medal for reserves best and fairest with 19 votes, edging out Naracoorte's Jeff Sellars and Padthaway's Alex Gray who tied on 16.
