BILL Laurie surprised no one when he easily won Kybybolite Football Club's A grade best and fairest award last Friday night.
The league medal joint runner-up was streets ahead of his teammates thanks to a brilliant year in the midfield after returning to the club from Adelaide.
He underlined his excellent year by also winning Kyby's rising star and player of the year awards.
Tom Cooper was runner-up best and fairest, Ray Jaensch (who made the State country squad) was most consistent and Dave Arnold was most determined.
Other trophy winners were: best team man, Duncan Ogilvie; most improved, Cody Ireland; coach's trophy, Brayden Kurtzer.
RESERVES. Sam Pearce won the best and fairest and was also named best team man.
League reserves medallist Lee Curnow was runner-up best and fairest and won the player of the year trophy.
Other reserves trophy winners: most consistent, Brad Cook; most improved, Shaun Selig; most determined, Dylan Bird; coach's trophy, Jesse Munn.
Coach Ange Donnelly won the A grade best and fairest award in her first year back from Naracoorte, and Sarah Arnold was runner-up. Sueanne Brodie won the coach's trophy.

B grade - best and fairest, Lauren Sandercock; runner-up, Chelsea St Clair; coach's trophy, Hayley Weidermann.
