NARCOORTE Pastoral and Agricultural Society is getting excited ahead of its 150th show on October 19.
This year will be bigger than ever with lots of things to see and do.
A major highlight is the Speed Shear event.
It starts at 3pm and there is a prize pool of $3500 up for grabs.
The four classes are Castec/Heiniger Novice, Trans-Australian Livestock Intermediate, Quality Wool Open and Mac Shearing Celebrity and Steve Smith Shearing Veterans.
Other entertainment will be the bubble show group from Victoria "Bubble Mania", Tony Golder and Regal the Star Horse, giant water balls, sideshow alley, face painting, Chester the Jester, an animal nursery and ferris wheel.
There will also be a free photo booth so visitors can remember what they did at the milestone show for many years to come.
Lee Brocky and Outback Overdrive will perform throughout the day to set the mood with their country tunes.
Furthermore, this year marks the 10th anniversary of the popular Limestone Coast Ute Muster.
Show secretary Amanda Lock said everyone was looking forward to the celebrations.
"We have had an amazing response from the community," she said. "We often put show books in businesses and we've had quite a few ring up complaining that they've run out.
"The schools have been fantastic getting the kids involved and the response has been very positive.
"I think it will be a good day."
As always, patrons can expect a fabulous array of arts, crafts, cooking, photography, produce, sheep, cattle and the other regular attractions of the show including trade sites, show rides and local school and club displays.
Mrs Lock said it was a great feat to have reached 150 years.
"Events these days don't tend to run that long so it's a really big achievement to have been around for 150 years.
"It's a great community day and we are really looking forward to it."
Gates open to the Naracoorte P and A Society 150th annual show from 9am on October 19.
Admission prices are $5 for children aged from two under 14 years and $10 for those over 15 years.
The annual Naracoorte Horse Show will follow on the Sunday.
