You don't have to spend money to have fun these school holidays. Here's some cool ideas:
- Have some fun with boxes. Ask your family members to collect all the empty cardboard and plastic boxes in the house. Use masking tape to stick them together. Perhaps you could make a robot, a monster or a skyscraper building.
- How about making some decorations for the hallway of your house? You will need gift wrapping paper (new or used), ribbon and a hole punch. Cut the paper into triangles, use the hole punch to make two holes along one side and thread the ribbon through. Use sticky tape on the back of the triangles to secure the tape in place. Hang the banner up with blue tac or sticky tape.
- Write some letters to your friends from school, a relative you don't see very often or to your neighbours. Go to the post office, put a stamp on and put it into the box. Count down the number of days it takes to arrive at their mail box.
- Play a game of "Guess What?" You will need five large socks and five assorted items (for example a peg, hairbrush, pencil, small ball and toy animal). Hang the socks on the line with one item in each. Blindfold your friend and tell them to use their senses to guess what is inside each sock. How did they go?
