IT'S almost time to get your sneakers on for the popular Active Community Team Challenge.
Now in its fifth year running, the teams event starts on October 24 to provide communities, workplaces and schools the opportunity to participate in a walk, jog or run.
The aim is to not only improve fitness but also build team morale and friendship over an eight week period.
"Life.Be In It" invites everyone to join in for 2013, to bring their friends along and enjoy the benefits.
A special course will be marked out around the Naracoorte Creek Walk track, starting at the Moore St car park by the Swimming Lake.
Times will be recorded and improvements calculated each time with points given out.
All participants are encouraged to continue their training between events to improve their times.
The winner will be the most improved overall.
Fast runners are also encouraged to participate to win the "fastest" category.
Spot prizes are given out each run as well as random prizes to competitors and teams.
All results can be found on the website throughout the challenge.
The Active Community Team Challenge is ideal for businesses, community groups, schools, older people and even playgroup mums who want to push a pram.
Why not grab some workmates and come down in your lunch break? Or challenge your whole school to get fit together?
Your team doesn't have to run at the same time and individual entries are also welcome.
The Active Community Team Challenge is funded by the Office for Recreation and Sport and supported by the Naracoorte Lucindale Council and "Life. Be in it".
