DPTI said it would make every effort to minimise the impact on road users during construction hours, with the road remaining open to traffic and minor lane restrictions in place while the works are being undertaken.
DPTI advises a 25km/h speed restriction will apply when workers are on site, with a maximum speed restriction of 80km/h at other times until line marking is complete.
Works are expected to be completed before Christmas, weather permitting.
The works are being carried out at a cost of $1,070,000 as part of the State Government's Periodic Road Maintenance Program.
DPTI thanked motorists for their patience while the essential works were carried out.
