LOCAL car and bike enthusiasts will now have a place to come together, with a new car club starting up in Naracoorte.
The organisers of Welly's Poker Run, a popular annual event, have started up the United Motorcycle and Car Club.
They had a registration day and show and shine at Naracoorte United Soccer Club on Sunday, with organiser Mark "Welly" Wellington blown away by the response.
"We've got more than we expected," he told the Herald. "There's 60 paid up members."
Membership is $25 - $10 going to the car club, $10 to the soccer club and $5 to the RFDS.
Meetings will be held at the soccer clubrooms, starting with the first annual meeting on February 7 at 7pm, where a committee will be elected and anyone interested is welcome to attend.
Being a part of the club will allow members to go for runs with like-minded people and show off their favourite machines.
As part of the registration day, a Show 'n' Shine was held with best car going to Scott and Barb Lobban's Torana and best bike to Darren Bilney's '92 Harley Softail Custom.

- The next Welly's Poker Run will be held on February 22, 2014.
