Getting muddy for the MS society

A TEAM of four put their fitness - and their cleanliness - on the line for a good cause in the MS Mud Run in Adelaide on December 1.

Penola's Brendan and Dee O'Brien, Dimma Steinert and Dee's sister Ange Clifford represented the MS Naracoorte branch in the annual event.

Run for the second time at Urrbrae College, the event attracted 3000 competitors, each of whom paid an entrance fee and then sought sponsorship.

The event sent off the athletes first and the fun runners second, over a 4km course with 18 obstacles, including three mud holes.

The local team had raised $765 at last count, but donating remains open until January 31.

The MS Society was hoping to raise $150,000 this year.
