NARACOORTE Lucindale Council has announced its Australia Day award recipients for 2014.
The winners will be recognised at Australia Day ceremonies on January 26.
Naracoorte's Citizen of the Year Award went to Margaret Wortley and the Young Citizen of the Year to Courtney Higgs.
The Community Event of the Year Award was for the the National Youth Week community cooking challenge, hosted by the Independent Learning Centre.
Lucindale's Citizen of the Year is Ian Jenke; Young Citizen of the Year Kelly Ferguson and community event, the KNT football and netball grand finals.
Australia Day will be celebrated in the Naracoorte town squares with breakfast from 7am and Lucindale's ceremony will be at the Lucindale Rotunda from 11am.
Penola have also announced their award recipients.
Citizen of the Year is John Zwar and Young Citizen of the Year is Brad Merrett.
