IT'S SHOWDOWN time this weekend on the karting tracks of Lucindale and Tatiara.
The J-Junior Showdown is being run on Saturday and Sunday with action starting up on Saturday at Tatiara at 1pm before continuing the next day at Lucindale from 10am.
All classes, with the emphasis on juniors, will be represented at the meet with 120 karts coming to the area from as far away as Busselton (Western Australia) and Alice Springs as well as a strong local contingent and others from around SA.
Australia number one Max Vidau (SA) will be represented at the meet, along with Australia number two and three.
Lucindale Karting Club's Rob Black said most of the field would be made up of locals, but the visiting drivers made the competition even more interesting.
"It's good to test themselves against other drivers," he said.
There is full catering at the track both days and both facilities are licensed - strictly no bring your own.
Spectators are encouraged to come along - entry is free.
For $5 interested onlookers can even visit the pits and see the karts up close.
The clubs thanked the event sponsors for their support.
The showdown is sponsored by Blucher Australia, Bullsroar Karting, Lightning Karts, Bordertown Pharmacy, Edwards Kart Wheels, Team BCM Motorsport and Naracoorte Motorcycles and Mowers.
