A SEVERE weather warning has been issued in the Lower and Upper SE regions.
Damaging winds, briefly averaging 60-70 kmph with gusts in excess of 90 kmph, are possible during the next several hours.
They will most likely be associated with showers or thunderstorms.
Locations which may be affected include Naracoorte and Mount Gambier.
A wind gust of 100 km/h was observed at Mount Crawford earlier this afternoon.
The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
* Move vehicles under cover or away from trees.
* Secure or put away loose items around your property.
* Stay indoors, away from windows, while conditions are severe.
Also in the warning area are the Mid North, Murraylands, and parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula and Riverland districts.
