IT'S that time again - the Rotary Club of Naracoorte Caves Fun Run and Pedalfest is on March 30, starting at 10am.
With a new route, this year offers something different for entrants.
This year the event will start and finish at the caves, taking out the need for people to be picked up or taken back to vehicles once their walk, run or ride is finished.
The run or walk - at either 5km or 10km - will take participants down the picturesque Caves District Rd before turning back to the caves.
Cyclists will leave the caves and go out the Hynam-Caves Rd until they get to Langkoop, heading out over the border and then back to the caves for either a 15km or 30km loop.
A barbecue at the caves will be available after the event.
Rotary Club of Naracoorte event coordinator Peter Flavel said the new route, particularly for the walkers and runners, was a nice change from the old one.
"The road is far more scenic," he said. "I think people will enjoy it."
Mr Flavel encouraged people to use the event as a fundraiser for their own club or cause - with the Rotary club only taking the entry fee.
"We'd like to see sports clubs use it as part of their pre-season" he said. "Or with the Masters Games coming up maybe preparation for that."
Other proceeds of the event will go to the Naracoorte District Men's Shed.
Adults are $15, children $5 (under 18) and a family entry is $30.
Entries before 5pm on March 27 will go into a lucky draw for a $200 fuel voucher.
Entries after that will incur an extra $5 late fee.
Entry forms can be picked up from the Herald office or at the Kincraig Pharmacy.
