A CROWD of about 600 people attended the Edenhope Cup on March 8.
They were treated to a great day of racing, with the track in good condition and the weather turning it on.
The feature race was won by Sandhill Chief, trained by Bordertown's Sam Turner and ridden by Lily Coombe.
The six-year-old gelding won by four-fifths of a length from eight-year-old gelding Loukoumi while the Michael O'Leary-trained Bojani finished a further half-length behind in third.
Kim Bateson claimed the win in the fashions on the field, beating out Sheree Cooper and Bec Ryan for the crown.
Kevin Forster was presented with life membership to the Edenhope Racing Club after many years of involvement with the club, including time as president.
