SA WATER is currently carrying out a series of works in Naracoorte and surrounds.
A spokesperson said the State Government owned enterprise was investing $3.2 million in the SE this financial year to drill and refurbish bores at Kalangadoo, Naracoorte, Mount Burr and Lucindale.
"A number of observation bores are being installed in the Bool Lagoon area and pending monitoring for environmental sustainability," they said in a statement.
"One of these bores may ultimately be used for production to further secure water supplies and improve water quality for the township of Naracoorte."
Installation of the bores is scheduled for completion by mid-2014.
Meanwhile rehabilitation of approximately 2.2km of existing wastewater main along Field Ave, Stewart Tce and Treatment Works Rd in Naracoorte started in February.
The main is being been built in stages and is expected to be completed by the end of the month.
"Throughout this period, SA Water and its contractors are committed to keeping construction impacts to a minimum," the spokesperson said.
"The works will improve the ongoing reliability of wastewater services to the area."
