Naracoorte hosts State sheepdog trials

THE Naracoorte Working Sheepdog Association successfully hosted the State's largest trials on April 21-23.

Starting on Easter Monday, the event ran over three days at the local showgrounds.

Naracoorte Working Sheepdog Association president Allan Mabon said it had all gone well.

"We had 54 entrants in the improver and open categories, and 22 in the novice," he said.

"We had to scratch a few because people couldn't make it."

The trials are usually held in July but were moved to an earlier date this year due to weather concerns.
