AROUND $3000 was raised by a simple haircut on Saturday night.
Brave 10-year-old Stella Dellaney had her long locks chopped for the World's Greatest Shave at the Naracoorte Hotel - with funds going to the Leukaemia Foundation.
The hotel was packed for the shave, and Stella's mum Christy said it was a great event.
"It went really well," she told the Herald. "We did pretty well."
Stella's hair was cut by Jay Zeuner after he donated $100 for the honour of getting the first cut and then Shear Class' Georgia Pietsch did the rest.
Stella's hair will go to making wigs for cancer patients at her request.
Further helping the donations, another $100 was donated by Shane Francis for Stella to cut Jay's hair.
Christy said Stella's haircut was well received by the bright youngster and she had no regrets.
"She's loving it," the proud mum said. "She might not even grow it back out."
There is still a donation tin going at the moment which will be taking contributions for another couple of weeks.
Christy thanked Naracoorte Hotel manager Henry Mould and the staff and patrons of the hotel, Sarah Shepherd and Brett Armfield for donating their time to entertain the crowd as a warm-up and Georgia for cutting Stella's hair
She also thanked the businesses and individuals who donated for the raffle.
