THE KNTFL teams for this weekend's round 6 matches have been released.
The match of the round is Padthaway (3rd on the ladder) against Mundulla (4th), and both sides appear set to go in with very settled sides.
Mundulla has made just one change - but it's a big one. Ruckman Jason Milligan comes back in, but ex-league medallist and many times best and fairest player Heath Thorpe is out, robbing the Moots of height and versatility in attacking and defensive key positions. Padthaway is travelling OK with injuries and has no changes to the team that walloped Kingston last week.
Bordertown (2nd) will host Naracoorte (7th) in an important game for both sides, and both have been forced to make several changes. Bordertown has replaced young pace with young pace in three changes, while Naracoorte will be rueing the absence of goalsneak Brett Gould and big man Michael Childs among four "outs".
Top team Penola will have to cope with some hefty player losses to overcome a capable Border Districts (8th) side. Penola has lost midfielder Lachie Jones, key defender Tom Pearce and ruckman Will Banton and replaced them with in-form reserves players. Borders have made three changes, swapping three like-for-like players, while there's also a strong whisper that defender Jay Zeuner could play his first game for the year after starting the season with Wimmera Football League struggler Nhill.
Kaniva/Leeor United (5th) will get back rover Matt Skrypek but has lost Jon Hicks and Edgar Torkkola as it prepares to host Lucindale (9th). After such an excellent performance to nearly beat Keith last week, Lucindale unfortunately looks to have lost coach and goalkicker Sam Logan and midfield guns Tristan Menz and Travis Ware, while defender Josh Teakle is also out which will hurt the Roos.
Kybybolite (11th) will travel to Keith (6th) and will be helped by the inclusion of runners Steve Craig and Jack McKay. The settled Keith will regain ruckman Hugo Drogemuller.
