THE experience of Drifters proved too much for the division two Naracoorte hockey women on Friday night with a 3-0 win.
While the mixture of youth and experience from Naracoorte brought an exciting dynamic to the game, Drifters, with their stable team line-up played like a well oiled machine.
Naracoorte were not without opportunity with a number of short corners, but lack of practice meant none were converted.
During the second half Naracoorte players dropped their heads as Drifters slotted their second and third goals.
Drifters provided a true "hockey lesson" with crisp sharp passes in triangles through the centre of the field.
By contrast the long, excessive, inaccurate hitting from Naracoorte resulted in too many turnovers.
The Naracoorte team have plenty to build on as the team matures during the season.
With a break next week those on the injured and ill list will have a much needed chance to recover.
Next week is the junior championships in Adelaide. Good luck to the girls representing the region.
Best: Samantha Thomson, Anna Hooper, Phoebe Clutterbuck.
