LUCINDALE Area School students showed off their dance moves - and enjoyed watching a new "expert" - in a fun-filled evening of entertainment.
Groups of students demonstrated their skills in both a partner dance and an individual dance on June 11 after spending the previous week with Footsteps Dance Company learning their dances.
Three groups of students, Reception to Year 2, Year 2 to Year 5 and Year 6 to Year 9, performed for the community at the School Hall after a sausage sizzle dinner.
The crowd was impressed with their enthusiasm and performance skills.
Following their performance local dad Brett Snodgrass, who is performing in the high-profile Swinging with the Stars this year, demonstrated some of the dance skills he has learnt.
It was an evening of fun, while a gold coin donation at the door helped raise money for the Stand like Stone Foundation.
The school gave special thanks to Brett and his dance partner Jannay Lindner for performing and to Pauline Rivett and her team for the excellent organisation of the evening.
Brett's dance commitments are drawing to a close, with the final event being held this Saturday night at the Barn, but it is not too late to get tickets for the event. They are available from Chapman's Newsagency, or you can donate to Brett's fundraising tally.
Donations can be made by contacting the Stand Like Stone Foundation on 8721 0480 or visiting the Stand Like Stone website.
