Jay Zeuner (right) will miss his side's next 10 KNTFL games after being suspended for 10 weeks by the KNTFL tribunal.

Border Districts defender Jay Zeuner has been hit with a KNTFL record 10-week ban by the league.

He was found guilty at Wednesday night's tribunal hearing of three separate charges: striking, kicking and making contact with an umpire after an incident with Keith's Tom Redden in the second quarter of their match on the weekend.

Zeuner was red carded as a result and sat out the rest of the match.

The suspension means Zeuner will miss the rest of the 2014 season plus round one of next year if Border Districts do not make the finals.

It was Zeuner's third game for the season after he switched from the Eagles to Wimmera Football League club Nhill at the start of the year.

Border Districts currently sit ninth on the KNTFL ladder with two wins and five losses.

They play Kaniva/Leeor United this weekend at Goroke.
