A FEMALE SE school teacher has been suspended over allegations of a sexual relationship with a male student.
An Education Department spokesperson told the Herald the matter is being investigated by SA Police, with the department kept informed of the situation.
“The employee has been directed from the workplace as per departmental procedure," the spokesperson said.
“It is important to note that no charges have been laid, hence it is inappropriate to comment further."
In line with Debelle Report recommendations, letters are not sent to a school community informing them of the situation if charges have not been laid.
