Fundraiser for soccer friend

ON Sunday a fundraiser was held by Robbie Pratter after the Naracoorte United vs Apollo soccer match for lifelong friend Ian "Jockey" Hyslop.

The fundraiser was in the form of a mega-wheel with prizes donated by businesses and individuals and raised just over $2000.

"Jockey", who had been heavily involved in both clubs throughout his soccer career, suffered a severe brain aneurysm in February this year.

He is currently recovering well and hopefully will be back in Naracoorte soon.

Mr Pratter thanked the businesses who helped in by donating prizes to the fundraiser:

The Kincraig Hotel, the Commercial Hotel (Mount Gambier), Lee from SA Brewery, Sean from Carlton United Brewery, Pev from Coopers, "Gazza", Chris Allen, Heard Bros, Naracoorte Newsagency, Amali Gifts and Accessories, Foodland, Wirthy from Nampara Cabins (Robe), Woolworths, Sportspower, M.M Electrical, Barrett Petroleum, Norm and Rick (Woolies butchers), John Sandford, SE Ford, Di Haggett, Hansen Print, "Hodgee" from The Distributors, Mount Gambier Frozen Foods, Apollo Soccer Club, Naracoorte United Soccer Club, Tender Cuts, United Motorcycle and Car Club and MiniJumbuk.

An ongoing raffle is still being held with tickets available at the Kincraig Hotel front bar and bottle shop.
