This season master Helen Mules chose Bob and Joan Lucas's property at Furner, also known as The Avenue.

With glorious weather riders gathered early for lunch before saddling their mounts, having one of the smallest field for the season 12 riders enjoyed some ducking and weaving through the trees over a variety of sized natural logs.

Helen Mules on Molly lead the first round and offering her horse to the landowners daughter Jane Lucas who relished the opportuniy jumping many logs confidently.

Deputy Jenna Bignell on Max stepped into the master's position and with no hesitation led the field superbly.

Libby Halliday on Dude joined us today with the winter series show jumping season over having a few minor problems at the start of the hunt but managed to work them out by the second round.

Floss Gillon seems to be improving her horse Wizz Fizz with a few outings under his girth.

Elaine and Andrew Smith riding Tess and Sparky both having there horses going along without fault.

Other riders were Bailey Poulish on Tango, Makayla Thompson and Girly, Fiona Ward and Dreamer, Georgia Chant on Boss and Lisa Sanders on Cocoa.

Next week's hunt is at Spots Hill (Blue and Jen Barnard), starting at 11am.
