Kingston game called off

FOR the second time this season a match at Kingston has been called off early due to an injury to a player.

KNTFL league CEO Tony Paget on Monday confirmed that during the middle stages of the fourth quarter, 21 year old Kingston player Trent Rothall suffered a neck injury in a tackle and required medical attention.

The match was called off after a meeting between the two clubs and Bordertown were awarded the points by virtue of their 70 point lead at the time.

Rothall was taken to hospital and required surgery on Sunday.

Paget said he was happy that protocol was followed with the care of the player and handling of the incident.
