KANIVA/Leeor United is through to its first KNTFL grand final and Padthaway's premiership hopes are gone after an enthralling weekend of finals football.
Kaniva/Leeor was far too good for Keith in Saturday's second semi-final, storming away in the second half for a 75-point-win at Penola.
The day’s reserves encounter was a far more even affair.
Minor premiers Keith and Naracoorte were locked in a tight battle throughout the day but Naracoorte managed to get a buffer in the last quarter and ran out 16 point winners.
On Sunday in perfect conditions at Frances, Bordertown edged out Padthaway – ending the Lions’ season.
At various stages Padthaway looked in control of the game but Bordertown surged in the second half to claim a narrow five-point win.
Kybybolite's reserves lived to fight another day with a strong 53-point win over Penola.
It was a one-sided game with Kyby hardly ever looking like losing.
Preliminary final weekend at Kingston sees Keith and Bordertown face off in the A grade, while Kybybolite will play Keith in the reserves.
