Lifeguards won't matter

I VENTURE to suggest that if we ever have a tragedy at the swimming lake, it will happen whether an inspector is on duty or not.

The lake is so shallow (5'6") and thanks to the magnificent work in cementing and chlorinating the lake carried out by the Naracoorte Lucindale Council, it is crystal clear.

We built and fenced a shallow area for toddlers to further ensure the safety of the lake.

The swimming lake is much safer than the sea at Kingston, Robe etc.

Here at Naracoorte there are no waves, no currents or rips and it never gets deeper than 5'6".

I guess there is always some risk wherever there is water and then I wonder "how many lives has this lake saved?"
