AFTER a tough season on the field in the footy and a fairly successful one on the netball court, Border Districts held their senior presentations at Lake Charlegrark on Saturday night.
Minimay local Clinton Robinson capped off a good season on a personal level to easily take out the McLaughlin Medal for best and fairest with 57 votes, well clear of captain Nick Tarca on 33.
Adelaide-based big man Sean King was awarded the W. E. Munn Memorial Award for most consistent, Corey Burr was best team man and Danny Owen was best utility.
Young pair Brodie Adams and James Richardson shared the coach's trophy, Rodney Oliver received the Keith Alexander Memorial Award for best under 21 and ruckman George McWaters was judged most improved.
Described by coach Andrew Michelmore as "pound for pound the best player in the competition", Clint Barras took home the leading goalkicker award with 64 goals for the season and the D. McIntosh Memorial Award for best placed.
Dylan Adams, who turned 18 at the end of the season, showed he is going to be a rising star of the competition in years to come by winning the J. Adams Perpetual and J. Oliver Memorial Award for reserves best and fairest on 31 votes over Andrew Pitt, who polled 29.
Bernie Pfitzner won most consistent, coach Michael Bull awarded his trophy to Nathan Oliver.
Nathan's older brother Sam took home the most improved award, Liam Thomas was best utility while Victorian pair Hayden Wearne and Travis Crawford were best team man and best placed respectively.
Kate Jacob took out the Shirley Pretlove Perpetual Trophy and A grade best and fairest in the netball, with young gun Samantha Crick runner-up.
Crick also took out the netball club's best 21 and under player.
Eliza Block won the A grade coach's award.
The A grade played finals and all contributed well, so no single player was awarded the best in finals award. Instead the whole team was recognised.
Caitlyn Batson was awarded the A reserves best and fairest, Georgia Kramm runner-up and Lauren Foster was most consistent.
Rachel Mahney went from strength to strength this year in the B grade, helping her side to a premiership while also claiming the club's most valuable defender award, the b grade best and fairest, best in finals and the KNTNA best and fairest.
Carol Pfitzner was the runner-up best and fairest while Flo Atkinson and Emma Hill shared the most consistent award.
Tiarna Edwards took out the C grade best and fairest and best in finals, Sally Grigg was runner-up best and fairest and Amanda Murray picked up the coach's trophy.
