THE primary school cricket season hit off last Saturday with three matches.
While several schools are struggling for numbers to start the season, seven teams have been entered to do battle each Saturday morning.
Naracoorte Primary School has two teams, with one each from Naracoorte South Primary School, Lucindale, Padthaway, Penola and Sunrise Christian School.
Last week, the two NPS sides played off in a local derby, Lucindale hosted Penola and Padthaway hosted Sunrise.
The teams play 25-over one day matches on school ovals each week from 8.30am.
