About 40 children got creative this week at art workshops aiming to help tell the science related stories of the Naracoorte Caves.
The children enjoyed sketching, drawing, colouring and painting their work at the town hall on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Organised by Naracoorte Lucindale Council, the workshops featured local artist Karen Burow who helped children depict stories that cover mega-fauna, fossils, environment and extinction.
Vertebrate palaeontologist Dr Liz Reed also attended to share her knowledge about the aged cave deposits and large mammal fossils at the Naracoorte Caves.
The artwork will be on display at the Naracoorte Art Gallery from August 9 to September 10.
