A man was arrested on Saturday after allegedly stealing a car from a property near Naracoorte.
Police will allege a Holden Barina sedan was taken from a property at Struan, after a man broke into a house and stole the keys to the car.
The vehicle was later found just across the border in Dergholm, Victoria. Police planned to take it back to South Australia for forensic examination.
A 44-year-old man from New South Wales was arrested nearby with assistance from Victoria Police, and will face numerous charges relating to the theft of the car and break-in.
He may face extradition to other states in relation to unrelated matters.
He was expected to appear in court on Monday.
