Naracoorte United suffer losses to Blue Lake

Naracoorte United played Blue Lake in the wet and wild Mount Gambier on Sunday.

The under 12s kicked off in the trying conditions and went down early. They kept on fighting hard  but unfortunately couldn’t with Blue Lake winning 3-2.

The reserves were next up and were a little short on numbers. Blue Lake scored in the first few minutes but United regrouped and managed to equalise.

Blue Lake scored just before half time to take a one goal lead. After half time, United came out firing socring two goals to take the lead. 

Blue Lake managed to another two goals to win the game 4-3. A special mention to Sean Fulton whose family were part of the original United team and to have him finish in United colours was great.

The under 14s game started slowly before United started to take control of the game.

A good goal from Mushy put them in front at half time. United continued to dominate which led to two goals through Cedar and Paddy.

Blue lake received a penalty but Duffy saved it to leave the score at 3-0. The A grade side started well and were peppering the goals early but couldn’t convert.

Blue Lake stunned United with a goal who were unable to respond. In second half, Naracoorte dominated play but couldn’t find the equaliser.

Blue Lake scored a second to win the game 2-0.  Naracoorte United will play their last home game this weekend.
