Lucindale bowlers have busy start to season

Lucindale bowling season started with Wednesday Social Bowls on September 20 with "Invite a friend day".

Birthday girl Wendy Wilson put down the first jack for the season and Chris Watts put down the first bowl. An enjoyable day was had by all.

Black and Tan Day, which is sponsored by the Robinson and Fisher Families was held on September 24 but due to inclement weather only two games were played.

A mixed social competition was held on September 30 followed by lunch and the announcement of the winner of the footy tips. The winner by a close margin was Irene Mason. Congratulations Irene.

Eight-hundred dollars was raised for Multiple Scleroses. All those present watched the AFL grand final on the big screen.

On Friday, November 3 at 6.30pm the bowling club will hold a Country Music Dinner and Entertainment evening. Everyone is welcome to come along.

Saturday, November 4 will be our annual Calcutta night beginning with dinner at 6.30pm followed by the Melbourne Cup Sweep.

The Open Pennant Season began on October 7 with games being played at home.

Division one lost to Millicent and division four Red lost to Penola. Naracoorte forfeited to Lucindale in Division four Blue. 

Ladies Friday Pennants will begin on October 13.
