A HAY truck caught fire and was completely burned out just north of Naracoorte on Sunday afternoon.
Naracoorte group firefighters and police were called to the truck fire on Boddingtons Rd at 5.10pm.
About 30 large square bales of hay caught alight on the vehicle and the fire spread to burn 2ha of surrounding grassland.
Four fire trucks and 16 crew were on the scene until 9pm when the blaze was controlled. It was then monitored overnight.
Damages are expected to cost $67,000. The fire was not suspicious.
At 8.25am last Thursday, Lucindale police responded to a report of a hay shed fire on Conricks Road, Lucindale.
The blaze was contained to the shed by two CFS vehicles, with damage to the shed and loss of hay expected to cost about $50,000.
Crime scene investigators were called to the scene but the fire was not deemed suspicious.
