Ben McIntyre 2014 KNTFL Mail/Virgo Medal medallist

GOALKICKING: Travis Lannin from Kaniva/Leeor United has won the reserves goalkicking award with 60 goals.

FOOTBALLER OF THE YEAR: The A grade footballer of the year with 95 votes is Grady Obst from Mundulla ahead of Penola's Ben McIntyre with 78 votes and Penola's Matt Willson 77.

GOLDEN WHISTLE AWARD: The Golden Whistle award for the league's best umpire has gone to Chris Toet.

LIFE MEMBERSHIP: Shane Dodson from Kaniva/Leeor United has been made a 300-game player life member of the league.

INTERLEAGUE TEAM: All members of the KNTFL's senior interleague team have been honoured.

JOHNSON MEDAL, RESERVES BEST AND FAIREST: The reserves best and fairest medal has been won hands down by Naracoorte on-baller/forward Jeff Sellars with 30 votes. Keith ruckman Karl Qualmann was runner-up with 18 votes.

The league's Naracoorte Herald sponsored team of the year has been announced, with 22 players plus a coach named.

The Scott McFarlane Award for the league's rising star has gone to Penola defender Matt Merrett.

It's the end of round 12 and our leader in the Mail/Virgo Medal is KL United's Dylan Williams with 17 votes from Lucindale's Ryan McInerney and Penola's Ben McIntryre 15, Mundulla's Jake McGrice 14, Kingston's Ben Warner 12 and Padthaway's Jason Degabrielle and Penola's Matt Willson 10 each.

LATEST UPDATE, 9.30pm: And the winner of the Mail/Virgo Medal for 2014 is Penola's Ben McIntyre with 27 votes. The midfielder polled three votes in both of the last two games of the season to clearly win from Kaniva/Leeor United on-baller Dylan Williams with 20 votes.
