Fifty-five players arrived at Naracoorte's pristine golf course in fine weather and they played for the Monfries and Porter trophy.
The main prize after the day’s play went to Brian Amos who posted the top score of 39 points.
As a result of his win, Brian gets his name engraved on the splendid silver salver as well as a fine trophy which he may give to his wife.
John Monfries was on hand and enjoyed presenting prizes to the deserved winners on behalf of the families of the foundation members.
The first division winner was Mick Pedlar with 38 from John Millhouse on 35 and followed by Pat Ryan on 34.
These scores reflect the trickiness of the fast greens. Brian Amos took out the second division with his 39 from Adrian Thiele who claimed 38 and Ian Telfer with 37.
The Ross Orchard was won by Ross Bain and Phil McInnes.
Nearest to the pin's were Doug Mullen, Brian Sherlock and Peter Vile. The ball rundown going down to 28 points.
The South East veteran’s next game will be played at Blue Lake on October 23, so we'll see you all there.
