On Thursday evening at the Naracoorte Town Hall there were plenty of teams ready to test their general knowledge at the helloworld Quiz Night.
Prior to the Quiz Night there was a Mini Travel Expo, which was also popular with punters.
No doubt Air New Zealand, Africa Safari Co., Trafalgar, Qantas Holidays, Cover-More Insurance, Venture Far and Scenic managed to help out some soon-to-be travellers.
With the quiz tables being geography themed, perhaps some teams got inspired to book their next holiday!
Well done to the winners, Team Norway, who had a great start to the Taste Festival after being awarded the top prize.
This year the top prize was a luxury hamper which had food, wine, and accessories.
Included in the hamper was handmade biscuits from local company The Bird Seed Project, and at the bar there were some fine wines from Wrattonbully.
Popular eatery Maddie’s Cafe also helped out, providing the seventh prize for the raffle.
The quiz’s second prize went to Team India, and the ‘Wooden Spoon’ loser’s prize went to Team Jamaica.
A social media prize was won by Di Armfield, and the raffle winners, in order, were Sarah Millard, Ali Slotegraaf, Noel Olgilvie, Gaye Ellis, Karryn Meulders, Lisa Johnson, and Imogen Corker.
The friendly helloworld team did a great job as emcees and organisers, and big ups to the Naracoorte Lions, who volunteered at the bar and gave out raffle tickets.
All proceeds of the night went to supporting Taste’s chosen NFPs, the Naracoorte and District Suicide Prevention Network and Naracoorte Lucindale Community Care Network.
