Kybybolite has recruited a footballer straight out of the AFL.
The Tigers have announced that Angus Monfries will suit up in the black and gold this season.
Monfries, who played 150 games for Essendon and 61 for Port Adelaide in the AFL, will play a limited number of games in the KNTFL this season.
He is also playing for the Western Bulldogs VFL side in 2018 and will play for Kyby when available.
Monfries is one of the partners in the syndicate which has bought Naracoorte’s Kincraig Hotel, which reopened on Friday after being closed since late last year.
The Tigers have also signed Loccy McGregor from the Eagles in SANFL and SA country rep Matt Tonkin from Langhorne Creek, but have lost travelling players Cam McPherson, Nathan Stark and Steve Craig.
Kyby, led by non-playing coach Tim Leehane, finished fifth last year,
