It was a great day on the green as women from across the state came to the Naracoorte Golf Club to compete in the Mary Cudmore Bowl, which is sponsored by the William Macintosh Motor Lodge.
The winning team was comprised of Sally Macdonald, Rosie Legoe, Pauline Cudmore, and Isobel Carracher for the Lucindale Country Club, who won with 97 points.
It was a special win for Pauline, as the tournament and trophy are named after her mother, Mary. Among other achievements, Mary Cudmore was a Naracoorte captain, a state captain, a committee member of the Naracoorte Golf Club, and co-created the Cudmore/Cheney Challenge for junior golfers.
This is the fifth time that the Lucindale team have taken out the top prize, and Rosie and Isobel also won individual awards (B Grade and C Grade respectively).
The A Grade winner was Anne Marks, who was visiting from Glenelg.
It was perfect weather to be out having a game of golf, and no doubt all the competitors had a fantastic time.
