Fatal crash near Naracoorte

Police are investigating a fatal crash at the Gap north of Naracoorte.

Just after 8.30am on Saturday April 14, police and emergency services were called to the Riddoch Highway after reports of a car hitting a tree about 2km north of Naracoorte Road.

The driver and sole occupant of the car, a 37-year-old woman from Crafers died at the scene.

Roads have been reopened in the area.

Major Crash investigators are examining the circumstances surrounding the crash, and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

The woman's death brings the State's road toll to 22 compared with 19 at the same time last year.

The Riddoch Highway is closed with traffic travelling from the north being diverted at Padthaway Road and traffic from the south diverted at Naracoorte Road.
