The BIG4 Naracoorte Holiday Park has gained support from many local businesses for a ‘perks program' that aims to benefit the whole town.
“We're putting the community first,” Luci Fogarty said of the program.
“If we can all come together, we can get visitors to stay in Naracoorte for as long as possible.”
The perks program is part of a national BIG4 campaign, offering in-park perks to visitors during their stay.
Where the Fogartys are acting is trailblazers is that they are not only offering special offers and discounts in the park, but they’re also giving visitors specials via other businesses.
“We want to make visitors’ stay as good as possible,” Luci said.
“We’re proud of the town, and we’re proud of the park, too.”
Luci often has guests asking for recommendations, and her years of working in tourism and hospitality has meant that she understands what a visitor needs to have a perfect stay.
The list of businesses that are currently involved in the perks program includes:
- Kincraig Hotel
- Tender Cuts
- The Veg Shed
- Tyre Power
- Sheep’s Back Museum
- Sweet Espresso
- Laundry Hub
- Aqua Steel
Whether it’s dinner, gifts, a bbq, camping gear, or a coffee out on the town, the perks program can provide guests at the BIG4 Naracoorte Holiday Park with anything that they could need, from many family-owned businesses.
As Luci explained, when the program launches it will be in a trial stage – there will be room for expansion and changes in the future.
At the moment, Luci is currently creating a voucher newsletter which will be available at the holiday park reception. As well as having specials and incentives, it will contain summaries about the businesses involved in the program.
In October, the Fogartys will be attending a BIG4 business conference. Their idea has already been approved with enthusiasm by BIG4, and the conference will provide an opportunity to network with other park owners.
More exciting news from the Naracoorte Holiday Park is that they have recently received a liquor licence, and have partnered with many Wrattonbully wineries to showcase their varieties.
Their current wines of the week come from Redden Bridge. As well as being available to guests, the park can also offer wine tastings and other event spaces for groups.
